Every year, DCCA raises money for various charities, such as the American Heart Association, Aloha United Way, March of Dimes, Arthritis Foundation, blood drive, etc. (trust me, there are quite a few of them...) And for each organization, someone from each division of DCCA gets picked to be the representative in charge of soliciting donations. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind that DCCA is trying to raise money for these organizations. I only start to mind when it's ME that has to go beg people for money. How am I supposed to ask people to donate money to the American Heart Association when I don't even want to give them my own money (and it's not because I'm cheap, it's because I get meager pay being a disgruntled state employee. If Linda paid us more money, I'd be more than happy to donate. Feel free to tell her this.)

Tell her it is against the law. If Human Resources finds out then they would put a stop to it. It's ok for a charity donation form to be posted or announced in general, but if they want you to have direct communication with each person working there to solicit some donations, it is harassment at the work place.
=)
