All that I'm in love with this year thus far (in no particular order):

- my cute Subaru (even though it eats gas like it's going out of style)
- Steig Larson's books (hate it that I have to wait for the 3rd and final one to be translated)
- Dan Brown's new book (even though the book came out yesterday, people on amazon are already writing reviews....wonder if they even read this 500+ page masterpiece?)
- Glee (coolest musical tv show around...with a weird looking lead actress!)
- 90210 (who knew remakes would be awesome?!?!)
- Fantasty Football (I don't even like football...but there is something about making fun of the football players other people pick to be on their "team")
- my gold Carlos Santana sandals (even though they give me at least 5 blisters every time I wear them)
- taking Cubby to the beach (even though we can only stay for an hour, that one hour is the funnest hour of my whole weekend)
- Mix Cafe - best sandwiches in Hawaii
- Cheetos!!!

Committees

Every year, DCCA raises money for various charities, such as the American Heart Association, Aloha United Way, March of Dimes, Arthritis Foundation, blood drive, etc. (trust me, there are quite a few of them...) And for each organization, someone from each division of DCCA gets picked to be the representative in charge of soliciting donations. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind that DCCA is trying to raise money for these organizations. I only start to mind when it's ME that has to go beg people for money. How am I supposed to ask people to donate money to the American Heart Association when I don't even want to give them my own money (and it's not because I'm cheap, it's because I get meager pay being a disgruntled state employee. If Linda paid us more money, I'd be more than happy to donate. Feel free to tell her this.)

Hands down Adam Lambert has got to be the greatest performer ever in the history of American Idol...and I know this because I've been a faithful follower since the very beginning. I've always hated when the season comes to a close....but I hate it even more this year because I won't get to see Adam do what he does best. And really, this was the highlight of my entire week. So you can imagine how depressed I was when Kris took home the victory last night. Of course, it's no surprise that I believe America got it allllll wrong when they voted for Kris...because let's face it, as the greatest performer ever, Adam should have been the one to walk away with all that glory. As sad as it was watching him put on a smile in the face of disappointment, I know he will have TONS of opportunities to do great things. He won't have to conform to whatever 19 Entertainment tells him to or sing that ridiculous song (although, as ridiculous as it was, he sang it perfectly). So I won't be sad for him because sometimes second place is even better than being first.
